The most important resource available to our clients is our staff of qualified, experienced environmental professionals. All HEPACO field personnel complete our comprehensive, structured training curriculum to ensure that they perform hazardous waste site operations with full regard to safety. This program is in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and includes an initial 40-hour training course, annual update training, incident command training and additional training for managers, supervisors, and employees who may respond to emergency situations involving hazardous materials on rail, waterway, and fixed facilities. The requirements of the HEPACO training curriculum are continually updated in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

A company's philosophy relating to managing the contingent risks, in an operation such as this, can be quite indicative of the caliber and capabilities of that firm. This is certainly the case with HEPACO. HEPACO has dedicated significant resources to the proper implementation and administration of an excellent insurance program. We properly addressed risks in the form of risk management and insurance by educating and training our internal staffs, by choosing an experienced broker in the environmental insurance area, and by selecting insurers who are both financially sound and offer comprehensive protection programs. These programs were structured specifically for HEPACO and incorporate the most comprehensive coverage available:

  • Pollution / Professional Liability
  • Commercial General Liability
  • Commercial Automobile Liability
  • Workers' Compensation / Employer's Liability
  • Environmental Umbrella Liability
