Ken Smith joined the HEPACO team as Chief Executive Officer in March 2018. Ken came to HEPACO with more than 34 years of management, operations, sales, engineering, and construction experience across industrial, commercial, government, and environmental markets. Prior to joining HEPACO, he served in various executive leadership positions over a 20 year tenure at Fluor Corporation (Fluor). Prior to his time at Fluor, Ken served in a senior leadership role at Jacobs Engineering Group.
Scott Metzger is a well-known and respected environmental expert who brings nearly 30 years of operational management experience to his role as President and Chief Operating Officer. Having served previously as a Field Technician, Project Manager, Director and Senior Vice President of an emergency services division.
Brett Ellis has over 22 years of experience in finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and information technology. His experience in privately and publicly owned companies covers multiple industries including environmental services, manufacturing, telecommunications and retail.
Bob May has 27 years in the environmental industry and has progressively served in various positions throughout his career. He started his career with IMS Environmental Services which was acquired by HEPACO, LLC in 2005. Bob is a licensed geologist in Virginia and North Carolina. Bob has served as a past board member of the Spill Control Association of America and has been a member of local LEPCs in his community.
Geoff Krug has more than 19 years of experience in environmental services, emergency response, and industrial services fields. He has served in roles ranging from communications specialists, general manager, manager of operations and sales, director of field services, and vice president of sales and operations.
Tim Acri has more than 30 years of experience providing services in emergency response, site remediation, demolition, construction, oil and gas, and earth-moving projects. He has served as a field technician, site supervisor, project scientist, project manager, division manager, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and President. Tim also draws upon experience from a 13+ year military career serving as a U.S. Navy Seabee.
Sam McDonald has over 25 years experience in Human Resources, as well as personnel and systems management, in a variety of industries and settings. His experience ranges from serving as a Personnel Director, Chief of Staff, Human Resources Generalist, and Vice President for Human Resources in both “for profit” and “nonprofit” settings.
